Commentary
This is an FM/AM tuner that condensed technology obtained from advanced machines.
The MPX section is equipped with WODSD (Wave Optimized Digital Stereo Decorder).
The ST-S222ESX employs a new PLL MPX IC (CXA-1064S) with more than 500 elements. By switching the L/R demodulation signal obtained with a 38 kHz switch with a signal obtained by balanced multiplication of 38 kHz and 114 kHz with a blend switch, the switching signal is finally close to a sine wave.
This WODSD eliminates any LC filter from the signal system and greatly improves the interference characteristics.
Using a direct comparator method, beat and noise are reduced by raising the comparison frequency to 100 kHz, which is the same as the channel plan.
An ES filter is used to improve the frequency characteristics of the transformer winding itself.
It is equipped with a random preset function of 10 stations.
Equipped with a cartone function.
