This FM stereo tuner incorporates a variety of technologies to improve sound quality through best tuning.

The FM front-end section is equipped with a CG varicon that provides high indication accuracy, thereby eliminating interference waves.
Spurious and image interference ratios are improved and intermodulation interference is reduced by tuning circuit of double tune and quad tune configuration utilizing 7-series varicon, and mixer circuit of dual gate MOS FET with remote cutoff characteristics.

By using a uniphase filter in the IF section, both high selectivity and high distortion factor are achieved.
In addition, the selection characteristics of Normal/Narrow can be switched by the bandwidth selection switch.

PLL IC is used in the multiplex stereo demodulation circuit.
The PLL compares the phase of the switching signal for MPX demodulation with that of the pilot signal and controls it so that it is always in the same phase. It is not affected by temperature, humidity and secular change, and achieves low distortion and high separation.

A reed relay is used for muting to eliminate pop noise during detuning and inter-station noise during tuning.

It is equipped with a high-blend circuit that cuts noise without losing stereo sense when receiving a weak FM stereo broadcast transmission.

Equipped with F-type connector for 75 Ω coaxial cable.
