Commentary
A tall boy tall boy type speaker system that pursues a realistic sound field and sense of presence with a large screen image.
The low range features a 16 cm cone woofer and a 15x23cm passive radiator, providing a slim size and low sound reproduction capability.
The mid-range has a 12 cm cone mid-range.
The high-frequency range is equipped with Sony's own CD (Constant Directivity) horn and 2.5 cm dome type tweeter.
The CD horn has a structure in which a short horn is installed in front of a dome type tweeter with wide directivity. The directivity in the short diameter (up and down) direction is sharp, and good directivity is obtained for the predetermined radiation angle in the long diameter (left and right) direction.
In addition, the horn neck has an elliptical shape to add acoustic constraints to the diaphragm, reducing distortion and realizing sound with excellent response.
It is a magnetic protection design considering the application in AV application.
