Commentary
This is a speaker system that condenses the concept of the La Voce series into a compact body.
A 16 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The diaphragm is made of biocellulose, a fiber produced by a bacterium called Acetobacter. It is very thin (more than 10 microns). It is light but has a very thin fiber structure of about 1/1000 of paper. It has a sound propagation speed of about 3 times that of paper. It has the same sound velocity as aluminum. It also has a resonance sharpness of about 24, which is about 1/10 of the resonance sharpness of aluminum. Almost equivalent to that of paper.
In order to transmit the sound waves of each unit to the ear simultaneously, time alignment is adopted to adjust the position of each unit and the time difference of sound is adjusted.
By adjusting the time difference between sound sources, a more realistic sound image and a natural sound field can be realized.
The enclosure is made of real wood with a natural teak veneer finish.
We also have SS-A3J with walnut finish and SS-A3B with black finish.
