This active speaker system was developed by combining the know-how of 3D systems with Sony's own mini speaker system "jy".

The satellite speaker is equipped with a 6.5 cm cone type unit.
This unit uses a unique diaphragm made of foamed mica (mica), which reduces reverberation with a lightness and hardness of approximately 0.15g, and high-quality biocellulose, which has a fineness of approximately 1/100 of pulp, added to it. As a result, the frequency characteristics in the high frequency range are improved compared with the conventional diaphragm, and bright and delicate sound is realized.

The base uses a high-efficiency bass reflex system that is approximately 30% higher than that of the conventional bass reflex type. Combined with the use of a 3.3g lightweight diaphragm, the bass reflex system realizes heavy bass playback with a sense of speed.

As for the material of the cabinet, special PP composite material with less excessive sound is used for the woofer part.
In addition, the satellite section uses newly developed materials (PP composite material mixed with wood powder and special materials) that have a sound closer to natural wood than the commonly used particle board. It realizes a sound with excellent sense of location by the synergistic effect with the oval cabinet of oval shape with less reflection.

A newly developed carbon fiber shaft is used in the speaker system for the arm that supports the satellite section.
Because carbon fiber is non-metallic, the current flowing through the speaker cable is not affected by the arm, and the signal from the amplifier is transmitted more faithfully to the satellite speaker.
Carbon addition, carbon fiber has the characteristics of high sound velocity and vibration suppression, and the distortion of sound image space is reduced by moving the vibration support point of the base unit and satellite speaker closer together and suppressing the effect of each vibration.

An R-core transformer with excellent sound quality is used for the power supply of the amplifier, and a Schottky barrier diode with high speed and low signal loss is used for the rectifier circuit.
We also use materials with excellent acoustic characteristics for electrolytic capacitors and other electrical components and substrate materials.

The cables use high-purity OFC speaker cords with less impurities than the normal 99.99% OFC.

An anti-vibration system using a newly developed insulator is adopted in the upper part of the base unit.
As a result, sound skipping can be minimized even when a diskman is installed on the base unit.
