Commentary

Compact design active super woofer that adopts advanced SAW system.

The unit is equipped with 20 cm cone type woofer.
This unit uses a large magnet with a diameter of 120 mm, a large-diameter damper, and a voice coil. In addition, the cone paper is a non-prescone with strong elasticity and is fixed with a wide strong edge to realize a unit structure that is resistant to distortion even at large amplitude.

The enclosure uses the advanced SAW method, an improved version of the SAW method.
In the conventional SAW system, the unit is mounted on the sub-baffle inside the enclosure and the sound is emitted through the duct. In the advanced SAW system, the radiator (phase equalizer) is installed on the front baffle, which was closed in the past, the input resistance and the delay of the emitted sound can be prevented, so that the response to the signal and the deep low sound are compatible.

The amplifier section has a higher output than conventional models of the same level, and is a BTL connected amplifier to obtain a sound with a sense of weight.
A large-capacity audio condenser is also used.

In consideration of the acoustic characteristics of humans, we have incorporated a correction circuit that increases the volume of the deep bass sound, which is difficult to hear at low volume, and approaches the flat characteristics as the volume increases.

The high-cut frequency is continuously variable.

It has a line output terminal to which a second subwoofer can be connected.

By using the separately sold speaker stand WS-W505, the SS-T505 and SA-W505 can be set in combination.
