Commentary
A slim type subwoofer with a built-in amplifier.
The unit is equipped with a 16 cm cone type woofer and adopts the SAW system to reproduce the heavy low sound with good sharpness.
The SAW (Super Acoustic-Loaded Woofer) system has a structure in which a driving speaker unit is mounted on a sub-baffle plate installed in the cabinet. It extracts the necessary low-range playback sound from the duct, and at the same time, it also has the characteristics of cutting out the sound above the middle and low frequencies with an acoustic filter, making it possible to effectively play back the heavy low frequencies.
In the SAW system, the load is applied symmetrically with respect to the movement of the diaphragm of the speaker unit in the front-rear direction, so the drive with small amplitude and less distortion is realized.
A 60W power amplifier is built in to drive the unit.
It is equipped with a low-boost switch and a phase-change-over switch to further emphasize the deep bass.
The cutoff frequency can also be adjusted.
By adopting the MFB method, the bass reproduction capability is improved.
