Commentary

Waterproof Walkman corresponding to JIS splash proof type.

The body and remote control are anti-drip specifications, and the earphones are anti-drip specifications (JIS Anti-Drip II type). It can be used in light rain, snow, or splashes.

The cabinet is made of resin material with a thickness of 4.0 mm (6.7 times the WM-EX80), and the cassette lid is made of aluminum metal with a thickness of 1.0 mm (1.3 times the WM-EX80). In addition, the cassette lid is a center lock type. Moreover, by adopting a large buckle mechanism made of aluminum die-cast, the structure is strong against falling and pressure.

It uses a sound vibration guard mechanism to suppress sound vibration caused by vibrations when walking.
This mechanism was designed by analyzing the dynamic characteristics of vibration from the viewpoint of the moment of inertia of the flywheel and the stability of the motor. It maintains a stable rotating state even when subjected to vibration while walking, and reduces sound vibration.

The attached battery case is the Walkman's first AA battery, and when combined with a rechargeable battery, it achieves continuous regeneration of approximately 33 hours (when alkaline batteries are used).
This dry cell battery case is JIS splash proof specification when it is mounted on the body.

Uses a remote control clip with a shape that can be attached to thick clothes.

As earphones, sound leakage reducing headphones are included.
These earphones use a new teardrop shape that matches the shape of the ear, reducing sound leakage through the ear openings. The silent cap also reduces unnecessary sound leakage by limiting the opening from which sound is emitted to the ear hole. This reduces sound leakage by 70% compared.

An EX amorphous head is used for the head part.
This head uses amorphous material and an EX mechanism with a special tape guide that keeps the angle between the head and the tape constant.

Equipped with a Dolby B type noise reduction system.

Equipped with an EXD. B. B. (Dynamic Bass Boost) circuit, you can enhance 50 Hz bass by up to 16 times.
In D. B. B., the emphasis is automatically adjusted according to the position of the volume knob at that time. In addition, in EX D. B. B., the amplification amount is linearly changed according to the volume change of the original sound to prevent the sensitivity of the weak sound from being lost.

The A side / B side notification function is installed so that you can check whether the A side or B side of the tape is being played, and what kind of running condition it is in.

Equipped with a 10 minute quick charge function, it can be charged up to 50% of full charge in 10 minutes and fully charged in 30 minutes.
It automatically switches between fast charging and normal charging according to the remaining amount of the rechargeable battery.
