Commentary
A video CD player with high image quality using the Picture Control function.
It is equipped with two types of picture control functions, and high picture quality is achieved by digital noise reduction and sharpness circuit.
Digital Noise Reduction combines Sony's original noise filter with a circular noise reduction technology that uses field memory to effectively cut out noise components by comparing the video between the previous and next fields. This greatly reduces background background noise that is noticeable in static areas during video playback.
The sharpening circuit emphasizes the edges of the image so that it can be enjoyed with a clear image quality.
