Commentary
This Secloff series tape deck adopts an improved contour effect type F & F head.
It uses a closed-loop dual capstan system in which the tape is sandwiched between two sets of capstan and pinch rollers to improve the running accuracy. In addition, the roundness of the capstan, pinch rollers, and flywheels are improved. In addition, the use of a belt with less unevenness in thickness based on technology developed in Video has been thoroughly examined to obtain excellent wow and flutter characteristics.
The head uses an F & F head with excellent high-frequency characteristics and abrasion resistance.
In the TC-R7-2, in pursuit of higher sound quality, low-frequency characteristics are improved by improving the contour effect by suppressing slight waviness near 100 Hz.
Uses a third motor with FG for capstan that incorporates FG frequency servo into the AC motor.
In addition, three motors are used for both reel supply and reel winding.
Feather touch operation with logical control is adopted. In addition, you can move from any position to the next position without stopping.
It has a four head configuration with three heads for two tracks and a four track reproducing head.
The bias and equalizer can be switched in three stages.
By using the separately sold timer, continuous absence recording and alarm clock playback are possible.

Equipped with a recording monitor muting switch convenient for microphone recording.
Automatically turns off the lineout when recording to prevent howling.
