Commentary

This auto reverse deck inherits the sound quality concept of the ES series and is equipped with the Dolby HX Pro.

Built-in recording level calibration function.
Press the Rec Cal button to increase the scale of the level meter, then press the Rec button to record the reference level signal from the built-in oscillator for about 10 seconds, rewind it to the recording start position, play it for about 10 seconds, and rewind it automatically.
During this approximately 10 seconds of playback, adjust the playback level while watching the level meter on the L and R REC Cal volumes, and the adjustment is completed.

Equipped with the Dolby HX Pro, which improves the recording capability of the cassette deck and realizes high-resolution playback.
This technology uses a dedicated IC to analyze and control the music signal in units of 1/1000 second and to control the effective bias amount so that it is always optimum. This greatly improves the MOL characteristics of the high-frequency band and enables clear recording of the sharp rise of the high-frequency band.
In addition, in combination with Dolby NR, sound localization and resolution are improved, and reproducibility of the contour and depth of sound image is improved.

The LC-OFC wound laser amorphous head uses an amorphous alloy core material with magnetic properties and a coil winding made of LC-OFC. The LC-OFC is a first class oxygen-free copper (over 99.995% pure) with a large crystal size and a reduced number of crystal boundaries. It reduces distortion due to capacitive reactances and improves S / N ratio and frequency characteristics.
