Commentary
This is a cassette deck with the latest technology and know-how acquired in making a long deck.
The Crystal-Locked Magne-Disk Servo System is used in the D. D. Player System. This system is unaffected by power supply voltage, frequencies, ambient temperature, time, etc., is robust against tape load fluctuations, and provides rotational performance with less errors.
The BSL Green Motor is designed for decks in addition to the linear BSL (brush and slotless) motors used in Sony's D. D. players. This motor has a simple structure that eliminates the slots and brushes that cause cogging (uneven torque), enabling quiet and smooth rotation.
The TC-K80 has a two motor configuration that uses a large BSL green motor exclusively for the direct drive of the capstan.
It is equipped with a scrape filter that reduces the modulation noise generated when the tape runs.
The head uses S & F head which adds the goodness of Sendust alloy to F & F head.
Since the Sendust alloy (Si-Al-Fe) has a large maximum magnetic flux density, linearity during recording can be extended and a wide dynamic range can be expected. However, Sendust alloy (Si-Al-Fe) larger than that of ferrite material.
The S & F the S & F head adopts a special 3-step structure in which a Sendust alloy chip is combined with a high - μ ferrite core. It avoids the laminated structure of the core material, which tends to cause gap deviation, and adopts a solid structure using original processing technology. It also adopts a newly developed gap formation method in which a high-hardness quartz film is specially vapor-deposited to obtain high gap accuracy and excellent frequency characteristics.
In addition, the fourth element is added to the Sendust alloy to improve corrosion and wear resistance.
Equipped with a multi-functional LCD peak program meter with double indication system that can confirm peak level change and peak hold simultaneously.
It employs a logical control system that logically operates the mechanism with a microprocessor, ensuring accuracy and high reliability.
It is equipped with an automatic music sensor (AMS) that can cue the music you want to listen to.
By using a Dolby NRIC that integrates an amplifier circuit and a Dolby circuit, we reduce the need for component parts and wiring, and improve reliability and sound quality.
