Commentary
This cassette deck adopts an independent 3-head system, mainly S & F heads, and a closed-loop dual capstan system.
It uses an independent 3-head system that uses Sony's original recording / re-independent S & F head for simultaneous recording and monitoring.
A closed-loop dual capstan system has been adopted. Two sets of capstan and pinch rollers hold the tape and allow the tape to run stably, improving wow flutter characteristics and reducing modulation noise caused by tape vibration.
In addition, deadening of the flywheel is carried out to eliminate resonance.
Logical control is adopted.
Equipped with multi-functional peak program meter.
The mechanism is a simple 2-motor mechanism using a BSL green motor and a high torque motor.
Equipped with Rec Mute function with auto space.
Equipped with a 4-stage tape selector for simultaneous switching of bias and equalizer.
In addition, only the normal position bias can be changed by ± 20%.

The Dolby NR Complete IC has been adopted, which reduces the variation in characteristics by condensing the Dolby circuit into one IC, eliminating the changeover switch for recording and reproducing and reducing the number of parts.
