Commentary
Auto-reverse deck with AMS (automatic music sensor) and auto-blank skip function.
Equipped with auto blank skip mechanism.
When this function is ON, in playback mode, if a long no-signal part continues, the music is automatically fast-forwarded to the next song and the playback starts again.
Equipped with AMS (Automatic Music Sensor), it quickly finds the head of the previous or next song and starts playing automatically.
You can also autoplay in the normal direction only, rewind the tape, stop it, and start playback automatically.
In order to obtain uniform sound quality in both normal and reverse directions, a rotary head system is adopted.
In this system, the head rotates 180 degrees according to the direction of travel, so the gap between the track and the head of the tape is the same channel in both directions of travel. In addition, even though it is a reverse gear, there is no need for an L/Rch switching switch depending on the direction of travel, so almost uniform characteristics can be obtained in both directions of travel.
Laser amorphous head is used for the head.
Amorphous is an amorphous alloy that does not have a specific crystal structure like water or glass. It has high magnetic flux density and excellent magnetic linearity. This amorphous alloy is used as a core material for magnetic heads, and an excellent head is realized by applying laser processing technology.
As a noise reduction system, in addition to Dolby NR / B type, Dolby NR / C type is equipped.
Equipped with an auto tape selector that automatically determines whether the tape to be used is Type-I (normal), Type-II (CrO2) or Type-IV (metal) and sets it to the optimum position. The set tape type is indicated by an LED indicator.
If a different position is set, you can switch to the correct position using the tape selector.
Equipped with a Rec Mute function with auto-space that automatically activates recording standby after 4 seconds of silent recording.
Equipped with long stroke slide Rec volume, LED peak level meter, direction indicator, high-output headphone jack and microphone input jack.
By using an audio timer (sold separately), it is possible to record a continuous absence or play an alarm clock.
Remote control with optional wireless, wired and foot remote controls.
In addition, by using a separately sold synchronized remote control unit, it is possible to play synchronized with Sony's player with a remote control terminal or playback deck.
