A stereo tape deck with an F & F head and timer mechanism.

F & F (ferrite & ferrite) head is adopted for the head.
This head uses ferrite not only in the core part but also in the guard part. It achieves about 200 times more wear resistance than conventional heads. In addition, the front surface is mirror finished so that there is no disturbance in the gap edge and a smooth and uniform surface is achieved.

It uses a 4-pole to 8-pole 2-speed synchronous precision motor.
This motor was manufactured in a dedicated factory within Sony and is used with strict checks on rotor dynamic balance and shaft roundness.

Parts such as head, capstan, guide roller and tape guide are all fixed in DCB (die-cast center base) to reduce vibration and maintain high accuracy.

The surface panel can be easily removed just by removing 4 screws, and the mechanical part can be adjusted easily.
You can also adjust the gain, equalizer, and bias of the recording amplifier, and the 19cm/s 9.5cm/s equalizer, trap, and meter adjustment of the playback amplifier.

Click noise is eliminated by incorporating a stabilization circuit using a Zener diode or transistor into the power supply circuit, and by taking into consideration the starting and stopping characteristics of the bias oscillation circuit.

An FET is used in the first stage of the reproduction amplifier to reduce the distortion generated in the high frequency range.

A constant voltage power supply circuit is built in to prevent clicks during recording and playback and to ensure stable operation of each amplifier.

Temperature rise is minimized by special use of solenoid, excellent heat radiation effect of reel motor, and low power consumption.

Equipped with a tape selector that can obtain SLH characteristics.

It is equipped with a unique vibration prevention roller to absorb the delicate vibration of the tape running in the head housing.
This eliminates modulation noise and improves S/N n ratio.

Equipped with a VU meter.

We have developed and adopted a reel lock that eliminates the reel cap and securely holds the reel.

An attenuator is installed in the microphone input circuit, and 3-stage switching of 0dB/15dB/30dB is possible.

It uses a special double volume that can adjust the left and right different levels with one hand.

Uses a guide roller locking mechanism that is easy to apply tape.

Equipped with a 4-digit tape counter.

Equipped with a pose button that can be locked.

Equipped with an auto shut-off switch that automatically stops the mechanism when the tape ends.

By using the timer sold separately, you can record your absence and play back the alarm clock.
