This tape deck is the top-of-the-line model of the Secloff Series. It employs three components : a servo motor, a closed-loop dual capstan system, and an F & F head + FET amplifier.
It is a 4-head configuration with a 2-track erasing / recording / playback 3-head and a 4-track read-only head.
In addition, it is designed for 3 speeds of 38cm/s, 19cm/s and 9.5cm/s with 3 motors that can use up to 10th reel.
Closed-loop dual capstan system is adopted.
In this system, the head part is placed in the center and the tape is pressed by two sets of capstan and pinch rollers to eliminate the effects of tape vibration and uneven tension in the loop, thereby greatly reducing wow, flutter, FM modulation noise, etc.
An AC servo motor is used for the capstan drive motor. This motor is low in vibration due to low speed rotation, and accurate rotation is realized by servo amplifier.
The head uses an F & F head that is finished with ferrite not only to the core but also to the guard, and achieves a head life approximately 200 times longer than that of conventional heads.
FET is used in the first stage of each amplifier block of the low level stage to improve distortion and linearity.
By adopting logical control, feather touch function switch is realized.
By detecting the rotation state of the reel shaft and confirming that it has stopped before moving to play, you can play quickly at slow rotation and save time. In addition, pressing other buttons during high-speed rotation does not cause accidents.
In addition, there is no click noise due to built-in constant-voltage power supply circuit.
Equipped with a pause shifter switch for easy tape editing.
When the shifter is turned off, it becomes queuing, and muting of approximately 20 dB operates simultaneously.
It is equipped with an erasure prevention device to prevent recording errors.
Self-illuminated operation buttons are used.
Equipped with a selector switch for use with low-noise, high-output tape (SLH).
± 5% speed tuning is possible during playback only.
Equipped with a scrape filter to remove modulation noise.
Built-in reel lock mechanism is adopted.
Equipped with a microphone attenuator with 2-step switching of -15dB/-30dB.
The front panel is equipped with a line-out terminal that also serves as a headphone terminal.
Equipped with a lineout volume with variable playback output.
