Commentary
A 4-track 4-channel 38 cm open reel deck with multi-track recording capability.
Multitrack recording such as bass on one track, drum on two tracks, guitar on three tracks and vocals on four tracks is possible.
In addition, it uses a synchronized track mechanism that enables accurate after-recording when one person records multitracks. When the switch is turned on, the sound of the track is played back by the recording head, and other tracks can be recorded while monitoring the sound.
When recording channel 1 or 2 (front), it is equipped with a pan pot function that can position channel 3 or 4 (back) to the desired position of channel 1 or 2.
It uses a direct coupling method in which the head and the reproducing amplifier are directly connected using FET.
As a result, phase characteristics, which are particularly problematic in multi-channel machines, have been improved, and SN ratio, distortion factor characteristics, and frequency characteristics have also been improved.
A 3-motor system has been adopted in which an FG-equipped servo motor is installed for the capstan, and a dedicated motor is installed for the supply / take-up reel.
The tape transport uses a closed-loop dual capstan system with two capstan pairs and pinch rollers to reduce modulation noise and improve head touch, which is a problem with multi-channel decks.
Adopts soft touch operation by logical control system.
The line and microphone can be mixed.
In addition, you can create a variety of sounds by combining the synchro-track and pan-pot functions.
By using the separately sold timer, continuous absence recording and alarm clock playback are possible.
