Commentary
The Secloff series tape deck employs three components : a servo motor, a closed-loop dual capstan system, and an F & F head + FET amplifier.
It is a 3-head configuration of 2-track erasing / recording / playback.
In addition, it is a 2-speed design of 38cm/s and 19cm/s with 3 motors that can use up to 10th reel.
Closed-loop dual capstan system is adopted.
In this system, the head part is placed in the center and the tape is pressed by two sets of capstan and pinch rollers to eliminate the effects of tape vibration and uneven tension in the loop, thereby greatly reducing wow, flutter, FM modulation noise, etc.
A servo motor is used for the capstan drive motor. Stable rotation is achieved by controlling the ultra-low vibration motor with a servo amplifier to maintain a constant rotational speed.
The head uses an F & F head that is finished with ferrite not only in the core part but also in the guard part, and the head life has been improved to approximately 200 times that of conventional heads.
An FET is used for the first stage of the head amplifier, and the characteristics are improved by adopting a direct coupling method in which an F & F head is directly connected.
By adopting logical control, feather touch function switch is realized.
By detecting the rotation state of the reel shaft and confirming that it has stopped before moving to play, you can play quickly in slow rotation and save time. Also, there is no accident even if other buttons are pressed during high-speed rotation.
Equipped with a tape selector with independent bias and equalizer switching.
Equipped with a -15dB/-30dB 2-stage switching type microphone attenuator.
Equipped with a tension arm that stabilizes tape travel.
Equipped with a pose mechanism capable of head-out.
The microphone input circuit and line input circuit are independent, making it possible to mix the microphone / line.
Equipped with a tape height adjuster that can finely adjust the height of the tape.
Equipped with a reel size change-over switch that can be used for 7inch/10inch, the optimum back tension is obtained.
Equipped with line-out volume.
Equipped with built-in reel lock mechanism.
By using the separately sold digital timer, you can record your absence.
