Commentary
Tape deck with F & F (ferrite & ferrite) head.
The head is an F & F head that uses ferrite not only in the core part but also in the guard part. This achieves 200 times more abrasion resistance than conventional products. In addition, the front surface is finished with a black mirror to prevent dust from adhering.
In addition, the F & F head can record SQ4 channels because there is very little difference between the left and right phase characteristics.
Equipped with a tension regulator, tape travel is kept constant from the beginning to the end of tape winding. In addition, since head touch is constant, there is no worry of modulation noise.
Since the pad does not hold the tape, it does not damage the tape.
A scrape filter is installed immediately before recording and re-recording to suppress modulation noise by absorbing microvibration of the tape.
By using a precise vibration isolation type for the motor, vibration and noise of the machine part are reduced.
Sony's unique Advance Driving mechanism allows the pinch roller to sink below the STOP position so that tape can be easily applied.
Equipped with a mechanical shut-off mechanism that automatically turns off the power of the mechanism when the tape finishes winding and stops the mechanism.
Equipped with a built-in reel lock mechanism that securely locks the reel by simply pulling and rotating the reel shaft, eliminating the need for a reel cap.
It is equipped with a pause device that can pause the tape for both recording and playback.
Equipped with a 4-digit tape counter that can return to 0000 with one touch.
The Head cover is detachable.
Equipped with a tape selector that supports SLH tapes.
It can be used either horizontally or vertically.
