Commentary
Cassette Denske Type IV with F & F head.
It uses 4 power sources such as 100 VAC, dry batteries, rechargeable batteries and car batteries for ordinary homes.
It also has a stabilizing power supply circuit and a DC-DC converter to stabilize the power supply voltage.
The head uses an F & F (ferrite & ferrite) head with an all-ferrite structure that achieves about 200 times more wear resistance than permalloy and improved high-frequency characteristics.
In addition, a direct coupling method using a low-noise transistor at the first stage of the amplifier eliminates elements such as a capacitor between the F & F head and the amplifier, improving the SN ratio and frequency characteristics.
Uses a DC servo motor with FG for the motor.
Equipped with a 3-stage switchable tape selector.
Equipped with a 3-stage switching type microphone attenuator.
Equipped with a ON/OFF Sony Limiter Recording switch.
In this function, manual recording is performed when an appropriate input is made, and a limiter circuit is activated when an unexpected large input is made to suppress distortion.
Uses an auto shut-off mechanism.
Built-in speaker with ON/OFF function, volume and tone knob.
In addition, it is equipped with a mode switch and L/L + R/R switching is possible.
Equipped with a lock type pose lever.
Equipped with line / microphone selector switch.
Built-in MPX filter.
