Commentary
A cartridgeless record player system that employs a direct drive system.
A direct drive turntable equivalent to TTS-2500 is used for the turntable part.
In the direct drive system, the motor shaft is a turntable as it is, so there is no part that rotates faster than the rotation of the record, and there is no cause for vibration. In addition, the rotation condition is constantly monitored by a frequency-generator (FG) directly connected to both the motor and turntable, and wow and flutter are reduced by a servomechanism that maintains the specified rotation speed.
The motor is equipped with the same AC servo motor as the TTS-4000. By applying the principle of eddy current (overcurrent), it does not generate discontinuous torque in principle and realizes smooth rotation.
In addition, reliability is improved by using a dedicated IC for the servo circuit.
It is equipped with a large neon-tube strobe.
The tone arm is equipped with a newly developed universal type arm.
It is equipped with functions such as an inside force canceler, lateral balancer, arm lifter, fine adjustment of 0 balance and arm height adjustment device.
The cabinet has a walnut finish and contains a special shock absorber to absorb external vibrations.
Also, the removable acrylic dust cover is designed with a fleece top.
