Commentary
CD/MD deck which combines MD deck and CD player.
CD synchronized recording is possible with one touch operation.
In addition, operation such as multi-jog dial can be switched according to switching of the select button of CD/MD, and centralized control is possible.
Equipped with a line input terminal and microphone input terminal, you can select two sources from among CD, line and microphone for recording to MD. You can also adjust the volume balance between the two sources.
You can also listen to a CD during line input → MD recording.
When you press the REC IT button on the remote control while a CD is being played, it automatically returns to the beginning of the song and starts recording to the MD. When one song is recorded, the MD stops automatically and the CD continues playing from the next song.
By combining with the Music Scan function, which plays only the head part of the recorded music on the CD one after another, you can quickly select and record music.
With a built-in loop function, when you press the LOOP button on the remote control at the desired point during CD playback, part of the phrase of the song will be played repeatedly. The loop length can be changed up to 5 levels.
You can also select NORMAL, which starts playback again from the point where you press the LOOP button after repeating the loop, or RHYTHM, which starts from the point where you advance by the time of the loop.
This function can also be used during recording to MD.
It is equipped with a time machine recording function, and if you press the multi-jog dial in the recording pause state, the sound recorded up to 6 seconds before is recorded on the disc.
It is equipped with five editing functions : COMBINE to make two consecutive songs into one, DIVIDE to divide one song into two, MOVE to change the order of songs, ERASE to erase unwanted songs, and ALL ERASE to erase all recorded songs. In addition, it is equipped with an UNDO function to undo the last operation.
In addition to alphanumeric characters and symbols, katakana characters can also be entered for the title entry where disc names and song titles can be added.
In addition, direct input is possible by using the separately sold remote commander.
The MD deck features wide-bitstream technology for recording and playback with a wider dynamic range. The CD player features a hybrid pulse D/A converter.
It is equipped with a smart space function that adjusts the interval between songs to approximately 3 seconds during digital recording.

MD in monaural format is play-only.
Serial Copy Management System (SCMS) allows only one generation of digital recording and no more than two generations of digital recording.
