MD deck with wide bit stream technology.

20-bit processing wide bit stream technology has been introduced to realize recording / playback with a wide dynamic range of 20-bit equivalent precision exceeding the 16-bit MD format by changing input / output to 20-bit and expanding the operation tone.

It is equipped with an 18-bit high quality processing sampling rate converter that automatically converts sampling frequencies such as 48 kHz and 32 kHz to 44.1 kHz of MD, and the input frequency can be checked by the LED on the body.

The D/A converter is equipped with a current pulse D/A converter used in ES series CD players.
This converter eliminates the effects of power supply voltage fluctuations and voltage noise generated by digital circuits by converting pulses output as voltage into current and transmitting it.
By having a clear current source, there is little fluctuation, and the expressive power especially in low sound is improved.

The power supply section uses an R-core transformer that can significantly reduce magnetic flux leakage because the core (iron core) is free of faults.

Using an eccentric insulator with an offset mounting hole position, vibration transmitted from the outside cancels out each other, making it difficult for it to be transmitted to the chassis. In particular, it is effective in attenuating the vibration components in the middle and high frequency range that affect audibility.

Equipped with a time machine recording function, you can record back up to 2 seconds.

In addition to the CD-synchronized recording function that can be used with Sony CD players, it is also equipped with a music sync function that can be used with other audio devices. When the connected device starts playing, it senses a signal and automatically starts recording.

It is equipped with a monaural recording and playback function that can use the disc in double length.

Equipped with timer recording and repeat playback function in combination with separately sold timer.

Equipped with digital input terminals for two optical input systems and one coaxial input system.

The TOC EDIT function is equipped with an UNDO function that can undo the most recent editing operation and an A-B ERASE function that can erase between two specified points in a song.

It has a title function that you can use Katakana as well as alphabet and symbol.
The title can be entered from the console or remote control, or by a remote commander (sold separately).

Equipped with L/R independent REC volume.

It is equipped with a smart space function that automatically adjusts the interval between songs to approximately 3 seconds during digital recording.

Equipped with disk in and auto power function.

SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) allows only one generation of digital recording, and no more than two generations of digital recording.
