L Cassette Recorder "L Cassette Denske DD" which can use L Cassette raw records.

The Capstan adopts a direct drive system using a BSL (brush and slotless) motor, which has been used in Sony's DD players, and incorporates a magnesium disk servo with high anti-rolling effect.
In principle, the BSL motor does not have cogging (torque unevenness), and combined with an excellent servomechanism, it realizes low wow and flutter.

A dedicated DC motor is used for quick winding, and a 2-motor configuration forms a mechanism that is not unreasonable.

In order to prevent complications during use, the LCassette tape has three unified standards, Type-I, II and III. Each has a detection hole for each type at the bottom of the shell. The EL-D8 uses this to make the tape selector automatic.

Equipped with Dolby NR.
In the EL-D8, if the tab provided in the L Cassette is bent, recording and playback are carried out in the ON state, so are no mistakes.

It is equipped with a PPM (peak program meter) that indicates from -40dB to + 5 dB even for the sound of the first season of 1 msec.
Further, when the peak hold switch is turned ON, the maximum value of the level is held, and when a larger level is entered, the maximum value is held in order.

It uses a direct coupling method in which an F & F head and a playback amplifier are directly connected.

Equipped with a microphone attenuator switch with 20 dB attenuation to prevent excessive input.

Equipped with a Sony Limiter that naturally suppresses signals above a certain level to prevent distortion.

It is equipped with a mechanical tension regulator that reduces the speed deviation when the tape runs.

It uses a scrape filter that keeps modulation noise out of the audible band.

It is equipped with an MPX filter and can be used for FM air check.

It has a built-in monitor speaker with output of 400 mw.

It is a 4-power system that supports 4 types of batteries : 100 VAC, dry batteries, rechargeable batteries, and car batteries.

A DC-DC converter is used to boost the voltage from eight batteries (12 v) to ± 24 v, which is four times higher than that of eight batteries (12 v), so that the linearity of the amplifier section can be sufficiently obtained. In addition, an FET buffer power supply is installed to reduce the fluctuation of the supply voltage to the amplifier section, so that the distortion of sound caused by the power supply is reduced.

Air damper type soft eject is adopted.

Equipped with an electronic auto-shutoff mechanism.

Comes with a shoulder belt.

There was a carrying case sold separately.
