A CD player with enhanced vibration resistance and equipped with the latest technology such as variable digital filter.

The pickup section is equipped with an optical system fixing mechanism that fixes the optical pickup and moves the disc side. This stabilizes the operation of the pickup servo the pickup servo, and the current required for the servo is relatively slow in response to disc distortion and eccentricity.

The digital filter uses a variable digital filter, and several types of cutoff characteristics can be selected by registering multiple calculation formulas with different characteristics in the digital filter IC.
With the CDP-XB920, in addition to the standard position with sharp roll-off characteristics, you can select No1, 2, or 3 with slow roll-off characteristics.

The standard and No. 1 positions of digital filters employ a full feed-forward system.
In this method, low-order bits, which were rounded off in the conventional method, are transmitted through a different route, stored in memory, and combined with the result of the next stage operation. This method realizes an oversampling operation that also reflects low-order bit data, thereby eliminating almost completely the requantization noise within the audible band.

The D/A converter is equipped with a current pulse D/A converter.
In this method, a stable current source is prepared, and the current pulse is generated by switching using the output of the pulse generator. Since the current pulse is independent of voltage fluctuation, it is not affected by the voltage noise of the arithmetic circuit.

The servo circuit is equipped with a high-precision digital servo, and by adjusting the servo amount of the optical pickup for each disc to be played, servocontrol reflecting disc conditions more accurately is realized.

By adopting a slant mount substrate with a slightly inclined substrate, the resonance suppression effect is obtained by reducing reducing the standing wave generated to reciprocate between the chassis top and bottom boards and the board.
Rigidity is also improved by increasing the thickness of the chassis itself.

It supports CD text and also supports music CD standard CD text containing textual information.
When a disc with CD text is loaded, the name of the song or artist is displayed in alphanumeric characters on the display. If the disc contains Japanese information, it can also be displayed in Chinese characters by using the text display unit CTD-S100 (sold separately).

An eccentric insulator is used for the legs.
This insulator has a structure in which the position of the mounting hole to the chassis is offset from the center, and vibration transmitted to the chassis is reduced by mutually canceling vibration transmitted from outside.

A center mechanical mounting system is adopted, and the effect of vibration is reduced by placing the mechanism in the center.
