Commentary
The CDP 5000, a console-type professional CD player developed by Sony Corporation, has been partially modified for consumer use.
Each unit has been strictly checked and shipped.
In addition to the high-speed random access function using 10 keys, the SEARCH dial is also equipped with a function that can detect any address of an audio signal with a high precision of 1 frame (13.3 msec.).
