Equipped with a unilinear converter system, this full-size CD player achieves high sound quality.

The Unilinear converter system synchronizes the circuits of the D/A converter, digital filter and EFM de-modulator to a single master clock for all digital signal processing, which in principle prevents beat generation in the audio band due to interference of two or more clocks.
It also incorporates a newly developed high-precision digital filter to improve the distortion and phase characteristics.

The optical pick-up cap is made of a material that is less susceptible to unwanted vibration. The optical block and disk table are separated into a floating structure to reduce the influence of external vibration and improve the accuracy and stability of tracing.

The optical block, circuit system and main circuit board are arranged in the chassis completely separated from each other, and structural rigidity is also improved by repeatedly examining the position of screws. This reduces the influence of circuit system vibration on audio and digital circuits and eliminates resonance.
In addition, the special damping material used in the CDP 553 esd is used to suppress the transformer vibration.

The analog section has a simple and straight design. In addition, the digital section, analog circuit and power supply circuit are all arranged on a single printed circuit board to achieve a high-purity circuit design.
A microcomputer for system control is also integrated into the display section.

The analog section uses a carbon resistor for audio with a non-magnetic cap, a large-capacity power transformer for digital / analog independent power circuits, and a oxygen-free copper power cord.
