Commentary
A personal-sized CD player that fits Sony's Liberty and other models.
The base unit that supports the optical system drive mechanism is equipped with the newly developed Black Tapered Base Unit, which is made by composite molding of special ceramic containing powder and metal to greatly enhance the damping effect.
The chucking arm that holds the disk is also equipped with vibration control measures to eliminate unnecessary vibration.
The linear motor for CD players is integrated into the optical block to enable high-speed access.
Using a unilinear converter system that synchronizes all digital signal processing with one type of clock, there is no beat generation due to clock interference in principle.
It employs a newly developed servo circuit and detects disc scratches and dirt from the signal of the main spot using a highly sensitive differential method.
The servo circuit is controlled based on the detected data to keep the trace stable.
In the analog circuit, the mechanical part and the amplifier part are arranged separately, and the audio circuit is composed of LR twin mono. In addition, the ground pattern and the mounting method of the circuit board are examined to eliminate the cause of noise pollution.
In addition, a seventh order discrete analog filter and an audio-only broadband operational amplifier are used.
The power supply section uses a Route 6 independent stabilized power supply for digital and analog circuits.
It is equipped with the RMS function of up to 16 songs that can be programmed to listen to songs in any order and played continuously.
Four repeat play patterns are available : one track / all tracks / A ⇔ B (partial) / RMS.
It is equipped with a direct music search function that starts playing just by placing a disc on the disc table and pressing a play button or a music selection button.
