Digital surround processor with digital delay and Dolby surround.

We have adopted a digital delay circuit and a semiconductor device developed in-house.

In addition to the delay of the audio signal, the matrix synthesis corresponding to each surround position is also processed by the digital circuit.
As a result, there is no phase rotation of the delay sound, which tends to occur with analog delay, and the surround effect with excellent sense of localization is obtained.

The newly developed C-MOSIC and high-speed digital presence synthesizer "CXD-1079" are used for the IC.
It has built-in arithmetic units such as multipliers and adders and interfaces with peripheral ICs, and enables real-time high-speed digital signal processing to obtain sound field effects by combination with various RAMs.
In addition, the single-chip design greatly reduces digital noise and unwanted radiation, which are problems with digital audio equipment.

The A/D and D/A converters are linear with 16-bit quantization bits and an integral type with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz.

The delay time adjustment enables LR-independent control in 0.1 msec steps within the range of 0 to 90 msec (10 to 30 msec for Dolby Surround playback).
The sound field space can be expanded and a sense of distance can be created freely with a precision of every 3-4cm in terms of sound velocity.
In addition, up to three types of adjusted delay times can be stored and recalled with one touch.

You can enjoy presence delay by preparing a second set of amplifiers and speakers.
With Presence Delay, the presence speaker is placed in the direction of many reflective surfaces, such as the corner of a wall or ceiling, so that the initial reflected sound is played back.
The initial reflected sound can be finely controlled by setting the delay time, and the volume level and balance can also be adjusted.

Equipped with a Dolby surround position by digital delay circuit.
With a built-in 20W + 20W power amplifier, surround playback is possible just by setting a small speaker in the rear.
The delay time can also be adjusted in 0.1 msec steps during Dolby Surround playback.

Other surround positions include matrix playback and hole playback.
