Commentary
A high-end stereo power amplifier developed with the aim of faithful waveform transmission.
The A-class stage has a 3-stage differential amplifier configuration, and the first stage has a dual FET with two high input impedance FETs in one package. This circuit has a DC amplifier configuration to improve phase characteristics.
The B-class stage consists of a Triple Darlington driver stage, a triple push-pull stage and a pure complimentary service stage.
Double epitaxial type PNP and NPN pair power transistors are used for this part.
It is equipped with a peak program meter of optical indication system with good tracking ability even for a pulsed waveform.
It is equipped with a protective circuit. The protective circuit of the power transistor uses a load impedance detection type protective circuit with a current limiter using an electronic circuit with extremely fast response, and a heat detection type protective circuit that detects the temperature rise of the heat sink.
In addition, the protective circuit of the speaker is a pure electronic type and operates reliably against generation of DC voltage.
The power supply section uses a combination of a toroidal core transformer, a thyristor controlled rectifier circuit, and an electrolytic capacitor for two power supplies.
A power limiter switch is provided to prevent damage to the speakers due to excessive output.
Output can be switched in 4 stages.
Parallel or series connection provides almost twice the output power of stereo for low impedance loads of 2 Ω or higher and high impedance loads of 8 Ω or higher.
Equipped with a subsonic filter to prevent ultra low-frequency noise caused by the warpage of a phonograph record.
When the normal / test switch is set to normal, the filter is turned on.
Equipped with 2 input terminals and Route 3 output terminals.
Among the output terminals, terminal A is fixed and terminal B is level-adjustable. The output terminal of the other system is a direct output terminal, which is useful when you are concerned about the damping factor deterioration.
