Commentary
This is a V-FET stereo power amplifier developed by inheriting the technology of TAE 8450, the highest grade amplifier of ES-II series.
The flat amplifier section, which is also used as an equalizer amplifier and tone control amplifier, is a unit amplifier.
This unit amplifier reduces distortion by adding buffer amplifiers to two differential stages. The first stage is a differential amplifier with dual FET, the second stage is a differential amplifier with differential amplifier structure to gain gain, and the last stage is a combination of FET and transistor.
This unit amplifier is essentially a DC amplifier configuration that does not have a time constant in the feedback circuit. By adopting this unit amplifier, not only low distortion rate but also excellent characteristics from the DC region to the high frequency range are obtained, and the phase distortion is also reduced.
The equalizer amplifier section uses a dual FET to reduce odd order harmonic distortion.
In addition, the Phono input is a direct coupling type without using a condenser to bring out the characteristics of the cartridge.
High-precision attenuator type level control is used for the volume.
This is a 2-dB step-type control that employs high-precision printing technology for resistors and silver contact sliders. The narrowing error and gang error at each step are within ± 1 dB.
Equipped with a left and right independent attenuator tone control.
As with the level control, high-precision printing technology for resistors and silver contact sliding elements are employed to achieve higher quality.
The adjustment is made in 2 dB steps, and both bass and treble can be adjusted independently on the left and right. Moreover, the turnover frequency can be changed in 2 steps each.
Equipped with an active filter whose cutoff frequency can be selected from two levels at Low and two levels at High.
Using two transistors, sharp cut-off characteristics and low distortion factor are obtained.
Two tape decks can be connected, and by using a monitor switch together, you can dub while playing your favorite source.
The Tape1 and 2 inputs have level controls.
The front panel and rear panel each have extra adapter jacks, so you can connect a 4-channel adapter, speaker equalizer, or a third tape deck.
Use by switching the extra adapter terminal.
Equipped with a muting switch that can reduce the volume by 20 dB with one touch operation.
