Commentary
In order to reproduce the sound of SACD, the ES series reference pre-main amplifier pursues high-speed expressive power.
Each of the voltage amplification stage, drive stage and power stage of the power amplifier section uses MOS-FET which has excellent characteristics as an acoustic amplifier element. Especially, the power MOS-FET used in the power stage has non-magnetic gold plating applied to the base plate and lead wires.
The circuit is designed with SACD in mind, and parts such as resistors are developed for the TA-FA777ES so that not only high speed expression power but also high expression power can be acquired.
The power supply section is equipped with a torus and toroidal transformer with an increased power capacity of 550 va. The condenser is also equipped with special tuning parts for the TA-FA777ES that have been repeatedly adjusted for sound quality. These parts enhance the bass reproduction power that is the basis of the detailed expression of SACD.
The chassis has been reinforced with FB chassis.
In addition, stability is improved by supporting five legs of the insulator.
The internal layout uses twin monoconstruction, and the power supply section is placed in the center of the chassis, and the left and right power amplifier sections are arranged so as to sandwich the power supply to obtain a good separation.
In addition, the chassis has a 5-block structure to reduce the influence of the power section and power supply section, which handle large current, on the pre-section of small signal.
Equipped with a balanced input by XLR-type terminal.
The input circuit uses a metal core module with parts mounted on the surface of a metal substrate.
Using a pure input circuit, the number of contacts from the input terminal to the master volume is greatly reduced.
It has a source direct switch and can be bypassed if the tone control circuit or balance control circuit is not required.
Phono input terminal compatible with both MM and MC cartridges is mounted.
It uses carefully selected parts such as inert gas enclosed relay and OFC internal wiring material.
Uses an inlet type power cord. The power input terminal is gold-plated.
