Commentary

This is a pre-main amplifier which is a sibling unit incorporating the circuit device of TA-F55.

Equipped with a 4-step cartridge load selector similar to the TA-F55.

It uses a DC power amplifier system, and the power transistor is Hi-f, which was born from Sony's original semiconductor engineering.TTransistor is used.
Since this transistor has excellent high-speed response characteristics, dynamic distortion such as transient intermodulation distortion can be suppressed with a simple circuit, preventing the adverse effect on sound quality caused by the complication of the circuit.

The heat pipe system is used to dissipate heat. The heat pipe has a thermal conductivity several hundred times that of a copper rod. This eliminates the need to use lead wires to connect the transistor to the circuit board and prevents electromagnetic waves from being emitted from the lead wires.

The power supply section uses a pulse power supply with improved stability by using a high-speed type rectifier diode. The pulse power supply instantly turns 100 VAC into DC, preventing 50Hz/60Hz AC magnetic field, contributing to non-fluxing of the amplifier. In addition, the voltage fluctuation corresponding to the change of the signal is suppressed, and the signal can flow directly electrically.

A dedicated FET buffer power supply is installed in the preamplifier section.

Simple and straight transmission is used to locate components at the shortest distance along the signal flow, preventing degradation of sound quality due to electrostatic coupling between wires and components.

The function switch uses a MOS FET electronic switch.

Equipped with a low filter, loudness, self-defeat tone control, and two monitor and tape copy switches.

Oxygen-free copper wires are used for signal lines, and gold plated terminals are used for phono terminals.
