An AV amplifier equipped with audio processing by digital delay and video processing by digital picture.

Eight types of digital picture processing are available for all video input systems except S video input.
With Picture-in-Picture, you can display images from different sources on the sub screen while playing images on the main screen.
Stop motion can play noisy still images from VTR, TV, or LD (CLV).
Flash Motion allows you to view a video or TV image with a strobe effect. The flash interval can be switched in five steps between approximately one tenth of a second and two seconds.
The Digital Multi-Flash can simultaneously display images in flash motion on a multi-screen. The multi-screen can be divided into 4/9/16 divisions. The flash interval can be set to approximately one tenth of a second to 1 second with 5-step auto, and manual operation at any interval is also possible.
With 4 x Digital Zoom, you can magnify part of the screen to an area four times larger than the entire screen. You can zoom up to five areas : center, upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right.
The Mosaic Art feature allows you to mosaic an image.
With Picture Art, you can create a solarization by enhancing the contrast of an image. You can choose from three levels of effect : strong, medium, and weak.
TV Scan combines the ST-AV900 AV tuner with the TV Tuner to convert preset TV programs into digital still images and display them sequentially on a multi-9 screen. It is also possible to display video one station at a time.

Digitally processed images can be output from the S-image connector to the monitor.
When S-Video Direct ON is selected, the S-Video Input signal is directly output at the shortest distance. When S-Video Direct OFF is selected, the video input signal (excluding input via the S-Video Terminal) is digitally picture-processed and output.

Three types of surround processing are possible using digital delay for audio input.
With Dolby Surround, you can use Dolby Surround software, with Hall Surround, which gives you the reverberation of a concert hall, and with Simulated Surround, which changes the sound from a mono source into a wide-ranging stereo signal.
In either case, the delay time can be selected in 3 stages of 15/20/25ms.

You can switch modes, select the delay time and adjust the volume of the rear speaker with the remote control from the viewing position.

It is equipped with a D/A converter and input / output terminals for digital sources, and supports sampling frequencies of 32 khz, 44.1 khz and 48 khz.

A programmable remote controller capable of operating the TA-AV900D is included.
With this remote control, even AV devices other than Sony can program and store remote control signals in memory if they are compatible with infrared remote control. The program can be in up to 98 mode.

There are 2 variations, black and titanium gray.
