Commentary
This is a preamplifier developed by combining Sony's many technologies.
It uses silicon transistors with high linearity and high amplification factor at ft = 200 MHz or more. It has a circuit design with a unit of a direct-coupled amplifier of three transistors each, thus reducing distortion.
There are two Phono inputs. The Phono2 input is equipped with a head amplifier that can be turned ON / OFF so that it can be used with a wide range of cartridges.
The VU meter and meter amplifier are highly accurate and meet the BTS standard.
Equipped with tape head input.
When playing back a tape, you can adjust the characteristics including the head using the equalizer control on the bottom of the TA 2000.
Equipped with low filter and high filter.
Independent input level control is provided for the Phono1/2, Tape Head, Tuner, Aux1 and Tape inputs.
Equipped with a variable turn-over type 2 dB step tone control.
The frequency changes according to the boost amount, so that the mid-low range or mid-high range is not unnaturally emphasized.
Equipped with functions such as center channel output terminal, output level selector switch, tone cancel switch, etc.
As an option to be sold separately, we had a wood case with Eurasian cheek finish and a case with mounting metal fittings.
