Commentary

FM/AM stereo receiver planned and designed to spread the high performance of the ES series to a wider range of users.

A silicon transistor is used in the amplifier section to reduce distortion.

The tuner section adopts a direct mixer system using a 4-row precision varicon.
This method does not use any active devices such as transistors that generate cross-modulation distortion in the high-frequency region. Instead, radio waves are introduced directly into the mixing stage from three tuning circuits. This method was realized for the first time with a newly developed low-noise FET.
In addition, excellent selectivity characteristics have been obtained by adopting a solid-state filter composed of six elements.

Equipped with a quick access switch, you can instantly switch between the commonly used phono, tuner and aux with a lever.

It is equipped with a special high filter to reduce noise when receiving weak radio waves at FM stereo broadcast transmission. This filter also has a high blend function to mix the high sound part of the left and right.

It is equipped with a loudness switch.

It is equipped with a monitor switch. When recording to a 3-head tape recorder, this switch allows you to switch between the source and tape for trial listening.

There is also an aux jack on the front for connection to other devices.

A FET is also used in the AM tuner to reduce noise, and a double-tuned ceramic filter prevents interference.

Equipped with a tuning meter.

Uses FM equally spaced scale dial.

Green dial illumination is used.

It has a headphone port.

There were separately sold Eurasian cheek finish wood cases and mount brackets.
