Commentary
A stereo receiver that concentrates the high performance of the ES series.
The amplifier has a maximum output of 130W and a continuous rated output of 50Wx2, so that it can be used for low-efficiency speakers such as the AR type that was popular at that time.
The front end of the FM tuner section is equipped with a frequency number line five series varicon, and the high-frequency amplifier stage and mixing stage are equipped with two FETs, providing high sensitivity and interference rejection capability.
The IF amplifier consists of a 6-element solid state filter and a 6-stage limiter circuit including a 3-stage symmetrical diode limiter.
The less frequently used knob is designed to be stored in the door, making it easy to use.
The selector is a lever type, and the commonly used Phono, Tuner and Aux switches can be switched with a single lever. This eliminates the need for multiple rotary switches.
A muting circuit using FET is installed in the tuner section to suppress inter-station noise during FM channel selection.
The AM tuner section is designed with attention paid to sensitivity and selection, such as a large 180 mm bar antenna and an IF amplifier using a solid state filter.
Equipped with a loudness function.
It is equipped with a walnut cabinet and has a luxurious design with black anodized aluminum panel and diamond cut knob.
