Commentary

In pursuit of performance as a stereo receiver, a 2ch/4ch receiver equipped with 4 ch function.

Four power amplifiers are installed for four channels.
In addition, BTL connection is used for 2-channel playback, enabling higher-quality 2-channel playback.

A 2-power differential-type semi-power complimentary service all-stage direct connect amplifier is adopted.
As a result, a clear sound can be reproduced in a wide range with little distortion.

It contains an SQ decoder developed by CBS and Sony.
It is also equipped with an R-MTX decoder to reproduce four channels of the other matrix called the regular matrix.

By connecting a 4-channel deck or a device for discrete records, you can enjoy four discrete channels.

If you play a two channel source in the SQ or R-MTX position, you will get a channel holetone effect.

Equipped with a level meter for four speaker terminals.
Press the sensitivity selector switch to decrease the meter's sensitivity by 20 dB.
When the BTL connection and 2 ch position are set, the two meter lamps on the right turn off.

MOS FET is used for the front end of the tuner section.
It is also equipped with Sony's proprietary solid-state filter, enabling it to receive even weak radio waves located right next to powerful stations.

A new approach to gain allocation has been introduced to avoid unpleasant noise during channel selection and to solve this problem.

It is equipped with a loudness switch suitable for listening to music at a low volume such as late night.

Equipped with an effective high-filter switch that cuts out high-frequency noise.

You can switch between Mono and Stereo with the mode switch.
