Commentary
Full-scale AM/FM multi tuner corresponding to FM stereo broadcast transmission announced with AU-70.
The high-frequency amplifier uses a cascode system with two low-noise Newby stars and a triple varicon.
This enables stable Hi-Fi reception with higher amplification and better separation than conventional grid-ground RF single-stage tuners.
There are two levels of noise limiter (noise component elimination circuit).
This eliminates a wide range of noise, including intense noise such as ignition noise (engine spark plug noise) and interference waves.
It is equipped with a muting switch that does not cause noise when selecting channels.
It is equipped with a muting switch (squelch circuit) that automatically disconnects the low-frequency amplifier stage when the receiver input drops below a certain value to prevent noise from entering. Even if the dial indicator is between stations, there is no noise.
The multi-circuit uses a switching matrix method.
Equipped with an FM multi-stereo indicator for easy selection of the FM stereo station.
Equipped with an AFC (Automatic Frequency Stabilizer) that can be turned ON/OFF, once the pointer is adjusted to the broadcasting station, you can enjoy stable FM broadcasting.
The AM section is composed of high-frequency one stage amplification and 3-row varicon ferrite antenna.
