Commentary
An FM/AM tuner with improved characteristics by using highly reliable dedicated ICs for main circuits.
The front-end section is composed of three elements using a dual-gate MOS FET and a dedicated low-noise transistor. The front-end section is combined with a precision-finished frequency number line type varicon to improve the interference rejection capability.
The IF section is composed of two stages (four elements in total) using a two element ceramic filter with excellent characteristics.
Furthermore, in order to obtain stable limiter characteristics at any input level, we have adopted a proprietary monolithic IC, which has been developed in-house. Compared with the conventional single element, the characteristics are more stable and improved.
A special IC is used for the MPX circuit, and a low-pass filter using a coil is used to prevent beat interference peculiar to FM stereo.
The AM tuner section uses high-sensitivity large bar antennas and highly integrated monolithic ICs exclusively for AM. In addition, the IF section uses a Yaman type 2-element ceramic filter. This design takes sound quality into consideration.
The power supply section uses a constant voltage power supply circuit, and by supplying a stabilized power supply to all circuits, ripples and voltage fluctuations are suppressed.
Equipped with an FM attenuator switch, it can receive signals at the optimum input level according to the level of strong or weak radio waves.
Equipped with signal meter and center tuning meter.
Equipped with a discriminator terminal to which a 4-channel adapter can be connected, an FM muting switch, and a 300 Ω / 75 Ω FM antenna terminal.
