Commentary

A speaker system developed with an emphasis on musical performance, especially in the mid-range.

A 25 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range.
This unit uses a magnetic circuit with a magnetic flux density of 11,000 gauss, which has succeeded in reducing fo. It also combines with cone paper with a large Young's modulus, newly developed high-compliance Cross Edge, and dampers to enable excellent low-frequency reproduction.
In addition, by improving the winding width of the voice coil and maintaining the stability of the damper, are able to withstand large amplitude and reduce non-linear strain over a wide range.

A 16 cm cone type squaker is mounted in the middle area.
This unit lowers fo by more than one octave by using an independent metal enclosure, which improves sound rise, resolution and directional characteristics, and also improves the connection with the tweeter by using an aluminum dome radiator.

A 2.5 cm dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
This unit is made lighter and harder by adopting a light metal diaphragm, and is equipped with a strong magnetic circuit using a large ferrite magnet to overcome low efficiency, which is a weak point of the dome type.

The network coil uses a 12dB/oct-type that takes advantage of Sansui's transformer technology. It uses a tap-down method that changes the level by switching the tap. As a result, there is no degradation of damping characteristics caused by resistance type attenuators.
In addition, the ferrite core is used for the coil to compensate for the lack of inductance and to improve the transient characteristics by reducing DC resistance to 0.1 Ω or less (resistance type 20 to 30 Ω).
The attenuator is installed in each of the mid-range and high-range independently, and 3-position switching is possible in 3 dB steps.

Equipped with a multi-amplifier terminal, 2-way and 3-way multi-amplifier playback is possible.

The enclosure adopts a bass reflex system using a pipe duct. In addition, the duct is dumped with a sound absorbing material. A special sound absorbing material of 15 mm thickness is used to prevent standing waves in the enclosure.
The enclosure is made of a 25 mm thick chip board.

The exterior has a walnut finish, and the front is equipped with handmade kumiko.
