Commentary

An ALF series speaker system developed with the aim of being a small-sized speaker of higher class.

A 16.5 cm cone type woofer made of softwood pulp cone is mounted in the low range.
This unit adopts a direct radiation structure, and by directly bonding the center cap to the voice coil bobbin, interference between the center cap and cone paper is suppressed, and high-frequency characteristics and phase characteristics of radiated sound are improved.

A 2.5 cm soft dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
This unit uses a diaphragm made of silk material coated with damping material, and is subjected to damping treatment by ferrofluid cooling. Magnetic fluid is sealed in the magnetic gap to promote thermal diffusion when the voice coil becomes high temperature and prevent degradation of characteristics.
An aluminum die-cast frame is used for the mounting part of the tweeter.

It is a magnetic resistant design.

The network section is divided into high-frequency and low-frequency sections using a division type configuration / division layout to eliminate mutual interference between high-frequency and low-frequency sections, and carefully selected network components are used.

The enclosure features a new flash surface finish with large cuts on both sides of the tweeter in successive rounds and rounded corners on all corners to eliminate the adverse effects of sound diffraction effects.
In addition, the baffle plate is finished with a poly-coated top-clear coating, which has a significant impact on sound quality. The transparent coating film, which boasts high hardness and thickness, increases the transmission speed of sound waves emitted from the unit. In addition, the base coating is mixed with mica-titanium foil to create a high-quality look.
MDF is used for the material, and the tapered reflector inside the enclosure disperses the standing wave inside the cabinet and increases the rigidity.

Gold plated screw type speaker terminal for banana plug is adopted.
By adopting the cabinet direct mounting system, adverse effects due to vibration are eliminated.
