Commentary
A full auto player with an automatic record size detection function.
Equipped with an automatic record size detection function using an infrared sensor, it automatically determines whether a set record is a 30 cmLP disc or a 17 cm single disc. This enables reliable auto lead-in.
It also functions as a safety mechanism to prevent damage to the needle tip due to forgetting to place a record or size switching error.
By driving the tone arm with a dedicated motor, smooth auto operation is possible without placing any burden on the needle tip or mechanism.
A 20-pole 30-slot motor is used for the drive motor, and torque unevenness of the motor itself is reduced by 3-phase full-wave drive. In addition, a highly accurate variable reactance FG servo is used to realize a player resistant to load fluctuations.
The tone arm adopts SANSUI's unique optimum support point arm with the pivot shaft set to dynamic balance point.
In this method, the signal picked up from the needle tip is not transmitted to the pivot, and conversely, the vibration of the arm base is not transmitted to the needle tip, reducing the influence of harmful vibration.
In addition, by adopting a lightweight straight arm, tracing capability is improved.
