Commentary
The front end section uses FET for the first stage and is a high-frequency single-stage type with a 3-row varicon.
There are four intermediate frequency amplification stages and three limiter stages.
The noise canceller is a high-blend type rather than a type that attenuates the high frequency range of the frequency characteristics.
The preamp section is similar to the AU 222. The equalizer is an NF type with two low-noise NPN type silicon transistors and the tone control is a CR type.
The power amplifier section is a semi-output type with a 6-chip configuration using a mesa silicon transistor and is designed to maximize the complimentary service at an 8 Ω load.
It is equipped with functions such as loudness control, FM protection circuit, FM stereo indicator, MPX noise canceler, FM stereo automatic switching, FM local variable switch, tape monitor and speaker protector indicator.
