Commentary
AM/FM multi-stereo amplifier which is highly praised as a completed product of SAX series and became a best seller.
In order to dispel the stereotype that the integrated amplifier is inferior to the separate amplifier, it was developed as an "amplifier for enthusiasts" by adding a tuner to the pre-main amplifier.
The 3-pole output tube 6R-A8P. P. is adopted for the audio section for the first time as a comprehensive amplifier, and high output and low distortion are achieved.
We have also adopted large 30W-class output transformers for each channel without considering the cost.
Taking into consideration the reduction of distortion in the intermediate amplifier, an NF tone control with a cathode follower drive is employed. This makes it possible to achieve smooth characteristics from the low to high range without waviness at the mid-point of the volume.
The recording terminal uses a cathode-follower method instead of the plate method, which has high output impedance.
The head amplifier uses a silicon transistor (micro-SEP).
In addition, the second stage is DC ignited to eliminate hum and noise.
The FM multi-circuit uses a switching matrix method.
Accessories such as high and low filters, loudness control, headphone jack, tape monitor and DIN socket are incorporated.
An AM ferrite antenna is built into the AM part.
