Commentary

This is a stereo control amplifier that combines the sophistication of Sansui's accumulated technologies with its history into a new dimension.
The circuit, mechanism and parts are lavish, and each unit is hand-made with great care.

All circuit boards use gold-plated Teflon boards.
By taking advantage of the characteristics of Teflon that the dielectric constant and dissipation factor are extremely small and vibration is absorbed by internal loss, various interference from the surroundings to signals reaching ultra-high frequency range is suppressed.

Both the line and equalizer are simple A-class DC amplifier configuration, and the input and output stages are equipped with MOS FET which can set the input impedance high and has excellent high-frequency characteristics.
In addition, by using only a line and an equalizer as an amplifier and minimizing circuits that require a power supply, noise from the ground line and other factors that degrade the sound quality of the signal system are eliminated. The low impedance and wide range of the signal line make it possible to obtain excellent S / N ratio.
In addition, to prevent contact loss of the selector inserted in the signal line, all switches are designed in parallel to enlarge and strengthen the contact surface. This reduces the contact impedance of the signal line and prevents the loss of the minute end of the audio signal.

In order to realize more ideal balance operation, we have developed and adopted the same type of balance conversion transformer (output impedance 600 Ω, 1 : 1 step-up ratio) as that used in broadcasting stations. This realizes perfect uniformity of hot and cold characteristics, and improves stability and SN ratio.

The power supply section uses a transformer with extremely low leakage flux and excellent regulation. It is combined with a newly developed electrolytic capacitor for power supply, ultrafast fast recovery diode, and 6N copper cable to form an excellent power supply section.

The right and left channels are driven under the same conditions. In order to eliminate the effects of electrical and magnetic interference and vibration between channels, the unit shield case housing, bottom plate, and rear input plate surrounding the unit are made of pure copper. All other structures, including the screw, are plated with copper. This makes the structure non-magnetic, non-resonant, and prevents noise.
In addition, Teflon sheet and pure copper plate are combined for the side wood and top plate to prevent internal reflection and vibration.

The master volume consists of a high-grade detent type with improved durability and accuracy directly from a gold-plated substrate, a parallel configuration to reduce signal passing impedance, and a pure copper case to isolate it from the surroundings.
In addition, the knob has a double structure that uses pure copper material inside and machined aluminum material outside to cut vibration transmission from the outside.

8 mm thick solid aluminum plate is extruded and used for the front panel. Solid aluminum is used for the input selector and all of the accessory knobs.

All mounting parts of the power transformer, power circuit board, line amplifier, equalizer amplifier, etc. are equipped with newly developed supporters made of Teflon material. In addition to vibration isolation, we have succeeded in maintaining sound quality between each unit and each line.

Various ideas have been put into fine parts such as screws to fix the panel.
In particular, insulators are made of gold-plated pure copper material with special rubber inserted with a Teflon sheet. They are fixed to the body with gold-plated brass screws passed through Teflon supporters.

The signal cable that connects the circuit to the input / output terminal uses an original 6N copper shielded cable with low transmission loss manually wrapped Teflon tape.
In addition, the connector is equipped with a gold-plated terminal made by WBT Germany, which has low impedance and high corrosion resistance.
In addition, all parts through which music signals pass are gold-plated, non-magnetic, low-impedance, high-speed, and vibration-proof. We are working to achieve world-class combinations from signal entry to signal exit.

For MC cartridges, exclusive MC transformers using imported core materials for both Low and High have been adopted from Shinkai, and a total of four transformers consisting of two independent left and right transformers has been realized.
