Commentary

D/A converter unit exclusively for 75 Ω coaxial digital input developed with CD Transport ROK-DP1.

The signal board is fixed directly inside the rear panel to guide the input signal to the circuit at the shortest distance and to send it out at the shortest distance.
In addition, in order to avoid degradation of sound quality due to wiring and switch contact, etc., input is one coaxial system and output is one analog system only.

The power supply of the toroidal transformer is mounted on the part of the under chassis, and the position where the interference with the signal system is minimized is selected and fixed. Moreover, the digital part and the analog part are separated to suppress mutual interference.

The D/A converter / A converter is a 1-bit type of 64 x oversampling delta-sigma system manufactured by Crystal Semiconductors, Inc. of the United States. The power and ground patterns of the digital and analog sections are completely independent of each other, reducing interference between digital and analog circuits through the power and ground lines.

The digital circuit is equipped with an 8 x oversampling digital filter.

In addition to 44.1 kHz sampling frequency, 48 kHz and 32 kHz signals are also available.

The ROK-DA1 signal board can be easily replaced to accommodate future upgrades.

As a separately sold option, there was an external power supply unit to further enhance the sound quality of ROK-DA1.
