Commentary

Tuner for FM only.

With QUAD's unique approach, it is designed to reproduce the input signal from the antenna with a rich musical quality without using techniques such as forcibly picking up weak radio waves.

The front panel consists of an ON/OFF switch, tuning knob, push button for automatic / manual tuning, and graphic display.
The graphic display shows the signal strength and tuning center as well as the frequency in digital form.

The operating system utilizes the latest digital technology, and by adopting a microprocessor developed independently, it is possible to preset up to 7 stations.
You can set a preset by first pressing the manual button to tune the desired station and then pressing the manual button and the button of the desired preset number simultaneously. The preset station is stored for approximately five years even after the AC power is turned off by the memory backup function.

During manual tuning, AFC and muting are automatically disabled so that weak radio waves can be received.
The best tuning point is when the two bar graph displays are at the same height.
