Commentary
A speaker system designed by Phil Jones.
The DUO consists of the SOLO configuration plus a woofer for frequencies below 500 Hz.
Two 9 cm cone type woofers are installed in the lower range.
In this unit, the rigidity is improved by pressing three ribs on the concentric circle of the diaphragm, and the piston motion stroke of 26 mm is realized with low distortion.
The voice coil uses OCC copper wire with a purity of 99.9999%.
A 2.5 cm metal dome type tweeter is installed in the high range.
The tweeter unit is equipped with a unique diffuser that greatly improves phase characteristics and directional characteristics, and a high heat radiation effect is obtained by filling the gap with magnetic fluid.
The voice coil uses OCC copper wire with a purity of 99.9999%, similar to the woofer.
The acoustic filter characteristics of the network section are 6dB/30dB/36dB.
In addition to the use of carefully selected parts, heat generated by the network is drained from the rear heat sink.
The enclosure incorporates 26 mm thick high-density fiberboard and 6 mm thick integrally molded die-cast rear baffles and top / bottom plates for excellent rigidity and damping.
The sound is tuned with the front grill attached, and the grill is non-detachable.
Also, there are 2 types of exterior, rosewood finish and wood grain black finish.
It is equipped with an extremely thick bolt mounting seat at the lower part of the body, and you can surely set the leg of 3 point support which is standard equipment and the stand sold separately.
