Commentary

This is a TAD (Technical Audio Devices) high-frequency driver unit that is also used in Exclusive model2401twin and model2402.

A large beryllium diaphragm with an outer diameter of 116 mm integrated with the edge despite being lightweight, a magnetic circuit using an alnico magnet with a magnetic flux density of 20,000 gauss, and a 5-slit phasing plug designed in consideration of fluid dynamics are used to realize wide-band reproduction of 600 Hz to 20 kHz and high efficiency.
In particular, the conversion efficiency in the high-frequency range of 10 kHz or higher is superior to that of a small-size driver and realizes excellent energy characteristics.

High durability and excellent linearity have been achieved by improving heat radiation through the use of a large diameter voice coil with a diameter of 101 mm and highly accurate placement of components.
